Keep It Fresh

Treat your Hommey robe gently and it’ll return the favour.

To keep your robe soft and fluffy, we recommend machine washing on a gentle cycle using cold or cool water. Add half a cup of white vinegar instead of fabric softener to help keep fibres fresh and naturally bouncy. Skip fabric softeners and dryer sheets altogether, as they can coat the cotton and affect your robe’s absorbency over time.

Always wash your robe separately from items with zippers or velcro to avoid snags, and never bleach or dry clean.

When it’s time to dry, use a cool tumble dry (add in a dry towel to speed up the process) or hang it in the shade. Give it a good shake before drying to loosen the fibres and improve airflow. If ironing is needed, keep it cool and light.

Little habits go a long way.

Avoid wearing sharp jewellery that could catch on the loops. If a loop does snag, please don’t pull it. Simply cut off the loop with sharp scissors to prevent further pulling.

Always make sure your robe is completely dry before putting it away. Damp fibres can lead to musty smells and unwanted wear. Store in fabric bags, breathable bins, or open shelving so it can breathe. Avoid plastic containers, which can trap moisture.

You can fold your robe neatly or roll it to save space. Rolling also helps maintain that fluffy, cloud-like feel we all love.
